We Love Clean Rivers is a nonprofit that for many years has spearheaded the effort to keep many high-use rivers clean. The lower sections of the Clackamas, from McIver to Barton to Carver to Riverside to Clackamette, are exactly that: high use. They work in conjunction with Clackamas River Basin Council (CRBC) to bring the community together in an effort to restore the river to its natural beauty. Since 2003, they’ve cleared over 40 tons of garbage with the help of more than 4,500 volunteers.
This 9/7/25 is the 22nd annual Down the Clackamas River Cleanup.
Please get together with your crew and sign up to paddle and pick up along a section of the Clack! Sign up here on the registration page. The more the merrier!
