Come meet current and potential board members on the river. Being January it’s sure to be cold, and we’ll be praying for adequate flows to go somewhere interesting. Back in the day the New Year’s paddled happened on the Bull Run, a short class 3 section leading to Dodge Park on the Sandy. In recent years the traditional paddle has wandered to new sections, and has sometimes been class 2 instead of 3. We make no promises about where we will go: when the date rolls around, we’ll pick the run that we would most like to do. You’re welcome to join, provided you’ve got the right gear (a drysuit!) and skills, and that you are not too hung over to make an early meet—because in January you have to start early or else you’ll run out of daylight.
