This paddling tune-up will focus on improving your boating skills and building confidence in a supportive group setting. We’ll work with Luke to progress foundational whitewater skills on the Clackamas River. 

This clinic is intended for LCCC members with Class II skills and above. We plan to use Class II+ sections of river to practice and build skills commonly needed on more challenging whitewater.

River: Clackamas

10am meet at Clackmas River Outfitters(360 SW Zobrist St. Estacada, OR)

Topics may include:

• Eddy catching and peel-outs

• Ferry angles and crossing currents

• Rolling and T-rescues

• Exploring alternate lines and river features

• Moving through rapids with greater awareness and efficiency
