The LCCC loves our Trip Coordinators

In the LCCC we call our leaders Trip Coordinators because of some old-fashioned idea that calling them Leaders would give folks the wrong impression. Truth be known, we are all leaders. Truth be known, TC’s are just folks who are willing to show others their favorite waters. But with that said, there is an LCCC way of doing things that has been honed over years, and it’s worth knowing.

If you are going to post a trip to the club, we hope that you’ll take. a few minutes to review the basics of the LCCC way.

Here’s the blogpost on HOW TO coordinate a trip with the LCCC.

Here’s the youtube video on HOW TO coordinate a trip with the LCCC.

Please take the time to look at one of the two links above when you’re going to do a trip. It will answer a LOT of questions and prevent some of the problems that we know (from experience of course) can happen.

On March 16, 2024, we’re going to have our first ever TC Appreciation day which will include discussions about how to coordinate. (Who’s Invited? Anyone who has or will coordinate a trip!!) We’ve been studying under our most popular trip coordinator (Denny Egner) for quite a few years, and have some tips to pass along about how to set realistic expectations and have a safe and enjoyable day on the river.

One thing we’re going to do on March 16 is practice our “Denny talk” which is about personal responsibility, and a realistic safety plan.

The other thing we’re going to do is get together for PIZZA on the club! Because everybody in the club APPRECIATES you who are bold enough to take on a leadership role, even when it’s called “coordinating” and we are all responsible for our own choices.
